Let us discuss certain aspects of Male infertility. Azoospermia is a condition where there are no sperms in semen examination. A person can be labelled as azoospermic only when 3 semen samples do not show any sperms. Azoospermia ca be due to damage to the sperm producing cells which is called testicular failure or blockage of the vast where sperms cannot be delivered outside. This can be differentiated by doing serum FSH and testosterone levels. FSH levels are high in testicular failure. Oligospermia means low sperm count while asthenospermia means low motility.
