As a continuation of my previous update on irregular menses and it's management as a part of infertility treatment, the causes may be PCOS at one end and impending ovarian failure atv the other end Treatment of PCOS involves lifestyle management by weight management and exercises, use of ovulation induction drugs and insulin sensitizers as required. Using Assisted reproductive techniques like Intrauterine insemination would also be of help. Patients with impending ovarian failure would benefit from IVF using minimal stimulation. If pregnancy cannot be achieved with patients own eggs, using donor egg treatment would help.
