Irregular menses, especially in the reproductive age group needs to be investigated. This would gi a long way in the treatment of infertility. Doing AMH, FSH and antral follicular count or AFC would help us find the root cause of the same. At one end of this spectrum is PCOS and at the other end is POF. Patients with PCOS have high LH / FSH ratio and high AMH. On the contrary, patients with poor ovarian reserve have low AMH, high FSH and low AFC leading to impending ovarian failure. The treatment is different in both types of patients
