Intrauterine insemination which is one of the treatment modalities for infertility can be with husband's semen or donor semen . It involves injecting the washed and prepared semen sample into the uterus with a soft catheter. Donor semen is used when the husband is azoospermic. Insemination with husband's semen is done in cases of oligoasthenozoospermia, pcos, unexplained infertility, erectile dysfunction in male.
