Poor ovarian reserve is one of the important causes of declining female fertility. If detected early by doing Amh, FSH and antral follicular count, aggressive treatment like ivf can be resorted to. Though the depleting ovarian reserve cannot be increased, we can improve the quality of the follicles by giving melatonin and d.h. e.a.at least 2 mths prior to ivf. Many such patients have benefitted by doing minimal cycle ivf.
