What is intrauterine insemination? This is a procedure where processed semen is injected into the uterine cavity using an intrauterine catheter. Intrauterine insemination with husband, s semen is indicated in case of unexplained infertility, patients with PCOS who have not been able to conceive naturally, patients where the husband, s semen shows borderline oligospermia or low sperm count, or asthenozoospermia meaning poor motility, also patients with endometriosis. Intrauterine insemination with donor semen can be resorted to in patients with Azoospermia which is irreversible.
