What is unexplained infertility? This is a diagnosis of exclusion. When all probable male and female factors for infertility have been ruled out, unexplained infertility is the answer. In the male , semen analysis should be normal and there should be no mechanical impediments to fertility. In the female, tubes should be normal and patent, ovulation and endometrial thickness should be normal. Uterine factors should be normal and sperm. cervical mucous interaction should be normal. There should also be no peritoneal factors like endometriosis.
