When couples have tried to conceive naturally and still failed to conceive after repeated attempts , iui or intrauterine insemination can be tried provided the fallopian tubes are normal and patent. This involves injecting a small volume of processed semen into the uterine cavity at the time of ovulation. Since it is a simple procedure , it can be easily done and has a 15 percent success rate per cycle.
